Our founder, Raymond Martel, passed away peacefully this monday

It is with deep regret that a chapter of our history comes to a close. A husband, a father, a grandfather, and our founder has passed away peacefully.

At the Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital in Laval, on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the age of 81, Mr. Raymond Martel, husband of Mrs. Cécile Bujold, passed away.

It was in Saint-Romuald, near Quebec City, that Raymond Martel began his entrepreneurial journey by founding Les Aliments Martel in 1965. His determination, willpower, and innate business acumen enabled him, over the years, to create a leading company in the agri-food sector.

A seasoned builder of the ready-to-eat industry in Quebec, he was a visionary and forward-thinking businessman, who now leaves behind an eternal legacy in the Quebec entrepreneurial world. Raymond Martel was always regarded by his family, friends, and colleagues as a hardworking, honest man, true to his values. We will remember his exemplary rigor and commitment to excellence. Knowing that he dedicated his life to his company, he always ensured the well-being of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cécile Bujold; his children Serge (Josée Lemery), Audrey (Elvis Langevin); his grandchildren: Emanuelle (Jonathan Gagnon), Maude (Olivier Girard), Ashley Langevin (Philippe Martel), and Presley Langevin; his great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Elizabeth, and Olivia. As well as family, friends, and colleagues.

Thank you for everything, and bon voyage Raymond!
